That is not meaningfully different to my estimation, since it is not test-only. Instead, you need to get accepted to an internship/apprenticeship, and then do that for a number of years, prior to having the law license. For gatekeeping purposes, this is functionally the same as requiring getting accepted into a law school and then doing that for a number of years prior to having the law license.
I find it mildly amusing that fully metric countries are seemingly stuck with some standardized measurements based on imperial units. Like how a soccer/football goal is 8 feet x 24 feet / 7.32 m x 2.44 m. Or how a standard shipping conatiner is 40 feet x 8 feet x 8 feet 6 inches/ 12.192 m x 2.438 m x 2.591 m. Or standard gague railways being 4 feet 8.5 inches / 1.435 m.
That's due to outsized British and American influence, but even that is waning. Nobody will change legacy sizes such as football goals, but every sport invented outside of those countries will use metric sizes. As the US wanes in influence, this will happen more and more.
If a fictional-but-popular TV show treats some kinds of evidence as more reliable than they really are, juries may be primed to believe in the kind of thing the TV show presents as legitimate.
Sure but lawyers would know that and ensure evidence doesn't get presented that way right? There are also a lot of other biases that lawyers have to navigate through.
Humans are flawed but that doesn't mean everyone in the jury thinks TV is real.
I think legacy USB peripherals are very common. Almost all of my peripherals are legacy USB; I think I only own a single USB-C peripheral. Old stuff still works, so I don't need to buy new ones.
Interesting. I don’t own any legacy USB equipment anymore, everything is USB-C now. I started phasing out my old equipment ten years ago and everything from the past five years has had USB-C as standard. Even my shaver chargers over USB-C.
I guess that the people who use $350 boards also mainly use USB-C. Unless you want to connect old hardware to it but I don’t see that use-case.
Not being able to connect my devices to this board is a blocker for me.
A person who can justify spending $350 on an SBC can probably manage to shake enough change out of the sofa to buy an adapter to plug their widgets into it.

Anyways, the end result has been I don't use reddit at all on the phone, so kind of ended up being good for me anyways.
I'm using an iphone 13, although I prefer to turn sideways and browse in landscape mode. What you consider borderline unusable is just how I prefer to browse reddit.

On my phone? Yes, absolutely, impossible to hit the links correctly even if I zoom in. Both old reddit and HN is "Fully functional" on desktop, agree, but far cry from "fully functional" on my arguably tiny iPhone.
Is that a ios browser difference? I browse hn all the time on my android phone and I didn't think my screen was unusually big. Maybe they implement some different scaling?
I almost solely use HN on my iPhone browser. It works very well and the scaling is well implemented, although it is a little too easy to accidentally fat finger and vote/flag something without realizing it. I actually find the desktop site (on my laptop) to be a bit hard to use due to its narrowness and small font size, but I'm not sure how universal that is.
Plus if you run adsense google with ignore crawler rules and visit the page from google ips and from some shady ip. Wonder if it is the same for sites using Analytics.
Why you still have the idea in your head that they play by the rules. With the current administration they have been empowered to extract maximum value from us.

Which election. I find no source for that. And even if that where the case, it wouldn't be too far fetched to think someone computed votes from rounded percentages when writing an article.
